Looking
to relive your days in kindergarten? If so, you're in
luck. Well, sort of. Hasbro Inc. has teamed up with Demeter
Fragrance Library to release a limited-edition Play-Doh
fragrance to celebrate the 50th birthday of the colorful
children's clay-like modeling substance.
According
to Hasbro's Web site, the fragrance is targeting “highly-creative
people, who seek a whimsical scent reminiscent of their
childhood.”
Leigh
Anne Cappello, vice president of marketing for the Play-Doh
brand, said in a press release the fragrance has a child-like
quality to it.
“One
of Play-Doh compound's most notable characteristics is
its scent. When you open a can of Play-Doh compound, you
are instantly transported back to childhood. What better
way to celebrate the 50th birthday than by bottling the
scent for adults everywhere to enjoy as a reminder of
their youth.”
The
unisex fragrance is available at www.demeterfragrance.com,
and starting this summer, will be sold on www.sephora.com.
It will be available until the end of the year. Buyers
can expect to shell out $19 for a 1-ounce spray bottle,
and $39.50 for a 4-ounce bottle.
