FLASH:
Hospital ‘disappointed’; no word on next
move
By
ALEX PHILIPPIDIS :: February 6, 2007
New York-Presbyterian Hospital this afternoon offered
no insight on what it will do now that its proposed biomedical
project for White Plains has been killed by the city’s
Common Council. Soon after midnight last night the council
rejected a six-month extension of approvals dating back
to 2002.
The hospital followed this afternoon with a 45-word statement
drafted by two spokespeople, Geoff Thompson and Willa
Brody, and released to D&D and other news outlets:
STATEMENT FOR THE NEWS MEDIA REGARDING NON-RENEWAL OF
PERMIT FOR LABORATORY BUILDING BY CITY OF WHITE PLAINS
New York Presbyterian Hospital is disappointed by the
White Plains Common Council’s 4-3 vote against
renewal of the permit to create new laboratory and medical
facilities at its Westchester Division campus. The Hospital
will now review all options regarding possible future
uses of the property.
