Blame
an errant rat for the delay in bringing you this issue
of the Business Journal.
Production of the newspaper and its two sister newspapers
was delayed today following a power outage that blacked
out the newspapers’ offices at 3 Gannett Drive in
Harrison (White Plains address), and the other two buildings
within the office park owned by Manhattan-based Heritage
Realty Services L.L.C. The outage was reported to town/village
of Harrison police at 1:43 a.m. today.
“There was a fault on a transfer switch. It may
have been caused by a rat that got into the equipment.
We’re working there all day, and we expect to get
electrical service back in the afternoon,” Con Edison
spokesman Chris Olert said.
3 Gannett is home to Business Journal parent Westfair
Communications Inc. The company also publishes the Fairfield
County (Conn.) Business Journal and Hudson Valley Business,
a new weekly serving Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland
and Ulster counties. Production of both publications was
also delayed.
The outage also knocked out power at 2 and 4 Gannett Drive.
The only building on the street not affected by the outage
was One Gannett Drive, home of The Journal News.
